The event aims:
- To announce the purpose, objectives, and expectations of USAID Wildlife Asia’s funding in Viet Nam;
- To provide insights on the impact of efforts to change the behaviors and motivations of rhino horn consumers in Viet Nam;
- To share in-depth understanding on the behaviors and motivations of rhino horn and tiger-product consumers in Viet Nam;
- To create opportunities for open dialogue among a wide range of partners and the project team in combatting wildlife crimes and reducing the demand for rhino horn in Viet Nam;
- To provide information on Viet Nam’s legal framework, wildlife crime, and the current status of illegal wildlife consumption in Viet Nam, including rhino horn, for all partners and the Vietnamese media.
