No To Ivory Souvenirs and Gifts

China banned domestic elephant ivory trade in 2017, but serious concern remained that the illegal market for ivory might shift to Thailand, where there is a legal market for ivory from domestic Thai elephants. One area where hotel chains could effectively contribute was to help reduce demand for illegal wildlife parts and products, such as ivory, among tourists in Thailand, particularly those who stay in their hotels. GTAEF and USAID Wildlife Asia promoted the video to other hotel chains in Thailand and Southeast Asia so that they may adapt the video with their own branding and disseminate it in their own networks.
