Consultant to Lead Applied Political Economy Assessment: The Role of ASEAN in Countering Wildlife Trafficking in Southeast Asia
Closing date: January 21, 2022 The consultant will lead an assessment of ASEAN institutions, organizations, bodies and working groups, and assess their respective mandates, capacities, resources, constituencies, networks and influence to more effectively counter wildlife trafficking across Southeast Asia. This will include ASEAN organizations addressing legislation and policy, biodiversity conservation, law enforcement, prosecution and the judiciary, among others.

RTI, prime implementing partner of the USAID Wildlife Asia Activity, is currently seeking an organization to lead the preparation of the 2020 Counter Wildlife Trafficking Digest for Southeast Asia and China covering the period from January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2020. The assignment will largely involve a desk-based study, but is expected to include virtual interviews with relevant NGOs, organizations, government agencies, and individuals in order to collect the information necessary to prepare the report. USAID Wildlife Asia is expecting the work to start as soon as the contract is awarded. Request for Quote/Proposal: Consultant for tailoring the CTOC training package for the Vietnam People's Police Academy (closed)
USAID Wildlife Asia and the PPA are now looking to recruit a consultant to lead the process of revising and tailoring the CTOC training package. The task will involve coordinating closely with the PPA and USAID Wildlife Asia, as well as close consultation with relevant law enforcement counterparts and partner agencies in Vietnam. The assignment is expected to begin in late-March with a completion date of mid to late June 2021.
